Getting there & around
Most people arrive at the canyon in private vehicles or on a tour. Open Road Tours (928-226-8060, 800-766-7117; www.openroadtours.com) runs shuttles from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport ($75, one daily) and Flagstaff ($27, two daily).
Free shuttles operate along three routes: around Grand Canyon Village, west along Hermits Rest Route and east along Kaibab Trail Route. Buses run at least twice per hour.
