  2. Pioneer Memorial Museum

    You'll find plenty of museums and monuments in Utah run by the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, but the Pioneer Memorial Museum is the organisation's best. Four floors and 38 rooms are crammed with carefully labelled and well displayed historical memorabilia, painstakingly and proudly collected by the good sisters.

  3. This Is The Place Heritage Park

    Dedicated to the 1847 arrival of the Mormons, This Is The Place Heritage Park encompasses Old Deseret Village, a 450-acre living-history museum, with costumed docents depicting life in the mid-19th century. Some of the 41 buildings are replicas, others originals, including Brigham Young's farmhouse.

  4. University of Utah

    The university contains two interesting museums and an arboretum. The fine Utah Museum of Natural History features gems and stones, dinosaur bones, a butterfly collection and more. The new, architecturally-intriguing Utah Museum of Fine Arts has a broad permanent collection and hosts changing exhibits in the Great Hall.
