Blog: Suzy Guese - 14 March 2012

Shadows are cast over a bullpen plate as a game takes place just steps away. Hordes of fans like myself watch the pitcher-catcher duo practice [...]

A Weekend in Phoenix
Blog: Family Friendly Hotel, Resort, Suite Reviews: Travel Savvy Mom » blog - 17 May 2010
For spring break, I planned a family road trip to the Grand Canyon---it was simultaneously amazing and brutal. Amazing because, well, it's the Grand Canyon. Brutal because our itinerary required a butt-busting 29 hours in the car.

Baseball and Chilies
Blog: Desperately Seeking Root Beer - 1 April 2009
People are funny about baseball. I grew up watching it, and we even had weekend season tickets to the A's for a while, so it all seems perfectly normal to me. But to non-fans, baseball is bizarre and perplexing, kind of like cricket or Sheryl Crow are to me. Glass in the Desert
Blog: Desperately Seeking Root Beer - 21 March 2009
Shortly after arriving in Phoenix last week, and after getting fueled up with an excellent lunch Haji-Baba, a little gem hidden in one of Phoenix's many unassuming strip-malls, we set off as planned to visit the Desert Botanical Garden.
