Set in a converted mid-Century Modern home alongside a canal in Phoenix' quietly upscale Arcadia district. Get a platter of tacos or some ribs and you won't be disappointed; it's comfort food (yes, in the Southwest tacos are comfort food) gone gourmet.

    Looking for something fun, but not too casual? Chelsea's Kitchen (Chelsea being the owner's dog, commemorated with a whimsical bronze statue in front of the restaurant) is your spot. Service is prompt and friendly; portions are generous and selections are varied. The burgers are top-notch--huge and juicy. Salads are a highlight and vary according to the season and the chef's influences. Also on offer are a number of seafood dishes, including outstanding fish tacos.. The atmosphere is lively and loud, with a laid-back yet still sophisticated ambience. Desserts are not to be missed--the pies are marvelous and they even have a kid-size chocolate sundae when you just want a little something sweet to finish off your meal.
