Lonely Planet review for Seasons Rotisserie & Grill

With bright-yellow walls, high ceilings, fresh flowers and a creative menu, this contemporary place provides welcome relief from the usual Old Town atmosphere. Try the hearty red-chile-dusted chicken burgers or Baja tacos inside or on the rooftop cantina.

    Seasons Change

    wolftraveler recommends this,

"Ah, summer, what power you have to make us suffer and like it." - Russel Baker
Summer in Old Town led to expectations of Mexican food and mariachi music. Instead, we savored classical Americana cuisine and jazz at Seasons Rotisserie & Grill. Seasons exudes casual elegance with wood floors, warm tones and an arched ceiling reminiscent of Sonoma wine country. We enjoyed viewing the open kitchen where our bone-on ribeye was grilled. The steak was perfectly tender and juicy with just a hint of smoky aroma. Seasons offers an extensive wine selection, so you'll have no problem finding the perfect wine to complement the bold flavors. We enjoyed the Cabernet Sauvignon. Weekly wine education classes ensure an informed staff.

"Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower." - Albert Camus
In fall, we decided on a change of scenery and headed upstairs to Season's rooftop Cantina where happy hour buzzes. Enjoy simpler creations as you take in the views and rock music. We had an excellent Angus Burger with tillamook cheddar. We recommend the deep fried calamari with lemon aioli sauce paired with a nice Samuel Adams Oktoberfest.

"The snow doesn't give a soft white damn whom it touches." - E. E. Cummings
Recently we tried winter at Seasons. Seasons changes their menu to take advantage of the unique flavors each season offers. My wife loved the braised lamb shank with lemon-mint gremolata. I feasted on wood-roasted Long Island duck breast with an unexpected pomegranate duck reduction.

While we await spring, you may want to partake in Season's Valentine's Day Aphrodisiac Wine Tasting. I'd recommend reservations and the Pegasus Bay Pinot Noir which introduces itself with a sensuous fruit bouquet then lingers with an impression of chocolate.

Seasons: a time to eat, a time to drink; a time to meet, a time to play. For the best food within walking distance of Old Town, try Seasons for a change.
