    Meat attack!

OMG, if you can kill it, grill it, and put it on a stick, this place will have what you are craving! Wonderful grilled meats, seafood, and veggies! For the plant eaters, there's a huge salad bar. This place is one of my favorites, and yummy!

    Tucanos For Meat Lovers

    wolftraveler recommends this,

Most of us hadn't been to a Brazilian grill, so we were excited. Park south of Tucanos and your hostess can validate parking. As we took in the tasteful décor, my table mate explained that Tucanos is a churrascaria or Brazilian BBQ where large quantities of animal flesh are consumed. Skewers of meat are carved table side. I'd never experienced this rodizio service. You can fill up with various salads, thick soups and hearty mashed potatoes, but I think my boss was right (don't tell him) - skip the salad bar to save room for the good stuff. What's the good stuff? Meat! Servers make rounds with different selections. Juicy steak, pork loin, and mango fish are served right at your table freeing you up to eat, enjoy conversation and eat more. $12.95 seemed steep until the meat kept coming. If you're a T-Rex type carnivore, try Tucanos. We had marinated beef brisket and brown sugar-glazed ham hot off the flames. The roasted chicken is the best in town with crispy skin and wonderful seasoning. Wash it down with guarana, a refreshing Brazilian drink. There's a full bar, for those not with the boss. Warning. Don't mess with the green/red tumbler. Green side up means keep it coming. Red means you've had enough, you wimp. My hand got slapped for touching it. We were now on a first name basis with the staff and no longer shy about asking Steve (maybe he wasn't from Brazil) for a double helping of bacon-wrapped turkey. The conversation was lively as we discussed each dish. I was told the lack of farofa on the table meant this wasn't true Brazilian. I found that fascinating as I downed another piece of spicy pork sausage. The skewers come in rotation, but if you tell your waiters of a favorite, they'll bring it. Beef sirloin grilled with garlic and parmesan was mine. Glasses and plates were kept full until we surrendered and turned our tumbler red. Steve brought grilled pineapple. I recommend you go to Tucanos with your appetite and your meat eating friends.
