Lonely Planet review for Le Pichet
This tiny French café, bistro and wine bar is elegant and tasteful, and yet it’s casual enough to quickly become a favorite haunt. The menu features traditional French cuisine without the aorta-clogging heaviness that this often implies. Breakfast is simple and delicious, and small snack plates of olives, almonds or various rillettes (potted meats) are available all day. For a treat, order the roasted chicken with celery and potatoes ($34); it’s made only on request and takes an hour, but is worth the wait.

Great food and hospitality
dhutter recommends this,
This is a great, friendly restaurant in downtown Seattle. It is about 1 block from Pike Place Market. I found it a bit intimidating to enter a French restaurant. I expected it to be a bit haughty and unwelcoming. I was wrong! This is a very friendly place! I entered shyly and was immediately welcomed. The atmosphere is casual, yet elegant. You can tuck away at a table or cozy up to the bar. The food is great! I was expecially enamored with their quiche and duck. It would be great if they were able to expand their space. But then, the coziness is part of the charm.
