Lonely Planet review
It was already a large hotel, but after adding a new tower, the Sheraton now boasts a whopping 1258 rooms. The original Pike Street Tower opened in 1982 and the brand-spanking new Union Street Tower opened in 2007.
They're still working on the renovations of the Pike Street Tower, but the rooms in the new tower are fresh and modern. (Make sure you know which one you're getting if you care.) The new rooms have a smart color scheme of beige, tan and russet with contemporary furnishings and plasma TVs. The hotel also features Sheraton's signature 'sweet sleeper' beds and in-room internet access (for a charge). It may be big, but the Sheraton has a lot of fans thanks to its style and service. As you'd expect, given the location, the hotel gets lots of business from conventioneers. Chill out in the high-rise indoor pool with its broad city views, and enjoy a nightly chocolate from Seattle's native Dilettante.
