Lonely Planet review for 74th Street Ale House
A sibling to the Hilltop Ale House in Queen Anne, this is the kind of place that, if you lived nearby, you’d find yourself in several times a week. It’s immediately comfortable, to the point that you feel like an instant regular – plus there are dozens of outstanding beers on tap, and the food is miles above usual pub standards. The goat cheese salad ($9) is rightly famous.

Highly recommend the reuben sandwiches and they have a great selection of beer. Gets crowded but it's a classic pub with great food.

where everybody knows your name

This long-loved Seattle standard feels a bit like "Cheers" revisited. Show up a few times and the friendly waitstaff, who run the place like a family business, will likely remember you.
The rotating taps list always hits a few Pacific Northwest microbrew highlights, and that's what you've come for, isn't it? Add to that a better-than-average pub menu, with stand-outs like fresh fish tacos and goat cheese salad, and the mellow vibe drawing in a varied crowd and you've got a winner.
On summery days quaffers spill out onto the small patio and sip among the flower baskets, watching passers-by on Greenwood Avenue. Evenings here turn chatty, and while the music is always held at a comfortable level, you will find a convivial din with your dinner.

Spiffy place

A nice place to eat especially if your a lover of gumbo as I am. They also have a ample selection of beers available too. The staff is friendly they even laugh at my not so funny jokes. The service is great so if you want good gumbo and a fine beer stop on in and give them a try.
