Locals hate to admit it, but they love this tourist standby for its outstanding green chile, served atop excellent burritos, enchiladas and, on weekdays, huge $10 blue-plate specials. Save room for desert – sopaipillas with honey butter are included with the mains. It’s a raucous place, perfect for families hauling exuberant kids. Prepare to wait; the restaurant is always packed.

    Locals know the chile is no good!

    I've lived in Santa Fe for 16 years and I have always been baffled by the popularity of Tomasita's. If you're looking for good NM food downtown, you can't beat the Shed and if you're able to venture away from the Plaza Horsemen's Haven has the best chile in town!!!

    Yum! Awesome, spicy Northern New Mexican food is the specialty here. Take a ride on the SFSI Railway, then stop in here for a tasty lunch or dinner. Don't forget to get one of their killer margaritas.
