Museum of Craft & Folk Art information
Vicarious hand cramps are to be expected from a trip to this small but utterly absorbing museum, where remarkable handiwork comes with equally fascinating back stories. Recent shows showcased Korean bojagi (hand-pieced textiles), playful modern takes on iconic Mexican handicrafts, and internationally acclaimed SF artist Clare Rojas' urban folklore mural installations. DIY crafts workshops are held on first Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm, and second Saturdays from 2pm to 4pm; see the website for lectures and special kids' events.
