The Westin St Francis on Union Square
Lonely Planet review
This is one of SF's most storied hotels – Gerald Ford was shot right outside. Tower rooms have stellar views but feel architecturally generic. We prefer the original building's old-fashioned charm, with its high ceilings and crown moldings. Westin beds set the industry standard for comfort but service is decidedly business-class, not first.
Our independent authors have visited The Westin St Francis on Union Square and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in San Francisco.
