Lonely Planet review
The notorious Sam Wong has been totally overhauled, and now it's a respectable, good-value hotel, heavy on the pastels and air freshener. Its number-one selling point is location – on the Broadway axis dividing North Beach and Chinatown – but some rooms are incredibly loud: bring earplugs or use air-con (not available in cheaper rooms). Parking not always available.
Our independent authors have visited SW Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in North Beach & Chinatown.
