Lonely Planet review

Alfred Hitchcock shot scenes from Vertigo here and a recent refurbishment nods to the master with Spirograph-like artwork reminiscent of the opening sequence. The snappy aesthetic blends cool colors and low-slung wingchairs beside platform beds dressed with down duvets. It's a 10-minute walk to reach anywhere noteworthy, but this translates to lower-than-average rates – plus bragging rights to movie history.
