Lonely Planet review
Finally a midbudget hotel for art freaks. All rooms have been painted with jaw-dropping murals by underground artists. Service is weak, linens thin and some bathrooms have separate hot and cold taps, but the art provides the feeling of sleeping inside a painting. Rooms with private bath require a seven-night stay. Bring earplugs.
Our independent authors have visited Hotel Des Arts and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Downtown & Civic Center.
