Lonely Planet review
Built in 1910, this old-fashioned tourist hotel has creaky floors but provides good-value accommodations and adjoins an atmospheric English-style pub. Guest rooms are clean and simple, with conservative Colonial-style furnishings and double-pane glass that blocks noise from weekend revelers. Avoid -03 rooms; they're adjacent to the (loud) elevator, but compensate with jetted bathtubs. Good location, just off Union Square.
Our independent authors have visited Hotel Beresford and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Downtown & Civic Center.
