Lonely Planet review

Form-over-function maestro Ian Schrager has invaded SF with an 'in-the-know' creation designed to look like a foggy sunset - gray carpet, lavender walls and tangerine highlights. While the Clift is deliciously notorious for its penthouse parties, tough design critics might find that some rooms are too cramped for sleigh beds, and some cabinets might've been bought at IKEA. There's a business center, gym, trendy bar and unimpressive restaurant.
