Lonely Planet review
Because its 1912 building originally housed apartments, the Beresford has bigger-than-average rooms, some with kitchens. We appreciate the fancy-looking lobby, large well-kept (if conservatively decorated) rooms, reasonable minibar prices and respectable location just beyond the riffraff of the Tenderloin, but service is decidedly perfunctory. Best rooms are junior and parlor suites, which have fridges and/or kitchens.
Our independent authors have visited Beresford Arms and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Downtown & Civic Center.
