    Just two blocks west of Union Square, this 1905 hotel has friendly, personable staff, small but comfortable rooms (the quietest are in back) and a good Italian restaurant downstairs. Though it's nothing fancy, we love the Andrews' homey feel – it's like staying at your aunt's house, without having to pet the cat.

    Only suites and queens have bathtubs; otherwise expect tiny stand-up showers.

    This San Francisco hotel is 2 blocks from Union Square and a half mile from the Powell Street BART station. It offers an on-site restaurant and rooms with free WiFi.

    The warm coloured rooms at Andrews Hotel feature a flat-screen satellite TV. A leather armchair and a desk are also provided.

    Guests can dine at Fino Ristorante and Bar, which offers Italian cuisine, daily specials and a fireplace. The hotel also serves breakfast.

    Hotel Andrews is less than 1 mile from Chinatown, Nob Hill and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Fisherman’s Wharf is 1.5 miles away.

    - Debit Cards: At check-in, your card will be authorized for room & tax with plus a security deposit for incidentals per day. This amount can take 5 to 30 business days to be released depending on the debit card and the issuing bank. This hold on funds will occur regardless if another form of payment is presented at a later time.

    Please note: Cash payment upon arrival, in addition to credit card pre-authorization, may be required.

    Please note: Smoking is not allowed anywhere on property. Smoking outside a guestroom window is considered smoking on property. Guests smoking on property will be charged a fee of $200 USD.

    The Andrews Hotel does not have storage space for guest packages. Parcels delivered prior to arrival and post departure will not be accepted.
