Lonely Planet review
The San Francisco Giants won the World Series in 2010 and 2012 and play 81 home games, April to October. Games pack huge crowds, despite this being one of America's most expensive ballparks – the average cost for a family of four, including food and beer, is $237. Season-ticket holders sell unwanted tickets through the team's Double Play Ticket Window on the website.
On nongame days behind-the-scenes tours cover the clubhouse, dugout and field. Discover a mini-replica of the field, the world's largest baseball glove, and a kids' play structure within that giant Coke bottle masquerading as sculpture. Bonus: on the park's east side, you can stand at the archways on the waterfront side and watch innings for free.
