Lonely Planet review
Among the city's biggest clubs, 'Ten-Fifteen' draws huge 20-something crowds for weekend DJ headliners and serious dancers for Saturday Pura Latin nights. The main hall is enormous, and four other dance floors mean you'll lose your posse if you're momentarily entranced by videos projected onto the 400ft water wall. Sound purists: 1015's basement has one of SF's best systems.
Be prepared for a pat-down before you enter; there's a serious no-drugs (or weapons) policy. Usually free before 10:15pm, though drinks run $10 to $15; see online calendar. Public transit is hard to come by and adjacent 6th St is sketchy: plan to taxi.
