Lawn Bowling Club information
Pins seem ungainly and bowling shirts unthinkable once you've joined sweater-clad enthusiasts on America's first public lawn-bowling green. Free lessons are available from volunteers on Wednesdays at noon. Flat-soled shoes are mandatory, but otherwise bowlers dress for comfort and the weather – though all-white clothing has been customary at club social events since 1901.
