Land

Bus

Greyhound buses stop at the Denver Bus Station (303-293-6555; 1055 19th St), which runs services to Cheyenne ($20, three hours) and Billings ($95, 14 hours). Powder River Coach USA (800-442-3682) and TNM&O (806-763-5389) also stop here.

Train

Amtrak’s California Zephyr runs daily between Chicago and San Francisco via Denver. Trains arrive and depart from Union Station (303-825-2583; cnr 17th & Wynkoop Sts). For recorded information on arrival and departure times, call 303-534-2812. Amtrak (800-872-7245) can also provide schedule information and train reservations.

Denver’s Ski Train (303-296-4754; www.skitrain.com) to Winter Park operates at weekends throughout the ski season, as well as in July and August. Same-day round-trip tickets cost $49. The train departs Denver’s Union Station at 7:15am arriving in Winter Park at 9:30am. It departs Winter Park at 4:15pm.

Air

The Denver International Airport (DIA; www.flydenver.com; 8500 Peña Blvd) is served by around 20 airlines and offers flights to nearly every major US city. Located 24 miles east of downtown, DIA is connected with I-70 exit 238 by the 12-mile-long Peña Blvd.

Tourist and airport information is available at a booth (303-342-2000) in the terminal’s central hall.
