Pop culture is worshiped at this boutique joint that also sells happy relaxation. Attention to detail – be it through the service or the decor in the rooms – is paramount at the Curtis, a one of a kind hotel in Denver.

There are 13 themed floors and each is devoted to a different genre of American pop culture. Rooms are spacious and very mod without being too out there to sleep – fluffy white comforters and muted colors on the walls help induce easy slumber. Still they offer the Curtis' signature flair – yellow ‘peace’ car alarm clocks, lamps made to resemble a twisted gold telephone wire. The hotel’s refreshingly different take on sleeping may seem too kitschy for some – you can get a wake up call from Elvis – but if you’re tired of the same old international brands and looking for something different, this joint in the heart of Downtown might be your tonic.
