Getting there & around
Breckenridge is off I-70, 104 miles west of Denver. The Resort Express (970-468-7600) offers service between Breck and Denver International Airport ($60, two hours, multiple trips daily). To get between the resorts hop on the free Summit Stages (970-668-0999) buses; they also go to Vail.
It’s easy to hitchhike during the ski season. While this is never entirely safe and we don’t recommend it, most people don’t have a problem in this region.
