Getting there & away
The Gallatin Field Airport (406-388-6632) is 8 miles northwest of downtown. Karst Stage (406-388-2293; www.karststage.com) runs buses daily, December to April, from the airport to Big Sky ($27, one hour) and West Yellowstone ($37, two hours); summer service is by reservation only.
Greyhound and Rimrock Trailways depart from the bus depot (406-587-3110; 1205 E Main St), half a mile from downtown, and service all Montana towns along I-90.
