Lonely Planet review
The exterior may be simple Colorado red brick, but the interior of this stylish property is all Victorian excess. Rooms feature old-world European alpine design, with ivory Frette linens and lush red bedskirts. An award-wining luxury hotel, the St Regis Aspen is top notch in the service department; the ski valets here don't just warm your ski boots up, they actually take them off your feet at the end of the day.
Rooms are also posh, in a very grown-up and seductively modern fashion. White bedspreads are covered with bright red runners, and carpets and chairs are are beautifully color matched with shades of chocolate and red. Rooms in the old wing are a bit snug, but those marble bathrooms and mountain views will make up for any size shortfall. In warmer weather, check out the outdoor splash pool and landscaped courtyards. If you're looking for sheer lavishness on the slopes, you can't go much better than the St Regis.
