I'm a software engineer for a company in the SF Bay area. Currently, I staying at Sunnyvale from 28 May to 17 June. I am planning to very small trip to nearby State Parks (Bernal Heights, Castle Rock, Alum Rock, Yosemite etc.) it will be low budget. If you're in SFO area, I can come pick u and go together. Car wouldn't be a problem just to put gas. :)
I'm from Europe. I'm going for a 6 month road trip to the US in July, on a B1/B2 visa. I will stay 9 months in total: 1 month in Canada, 6 in the US and 2 in Mexico.
I need to buy my flights soon, and I'm facing a problem. The most convenient would be to buy a return flight to New York but that would mean that my inbound and outbound flight are 9 month apart, so even though I would not stay more than 180 days in the US combined, I'd still need to enter the US twice in a time frame…

I have done quite a bit of research already, but I'm having hard time finding something acceptable. I would like to have LWD/CWD and also some liability insurance coverage. I liked what insurance4carhire offer, but they…
I was wondering if you rent a car in Canada and drive it across the border into the United States; what type of restrictions do rental car companies impose typically? Is there special insurance you need to get? I am a Canadian with a Canadian Driver's Licence.
The road trip I am planning would be mostly in the United States and I was also wondering if I'd be better to rent in Canada or drive across and pick up a car in the United States to rent?
I will be travelling to California with my two friends from June 9 to June 22. We are landing in San Francisco, which we already book an hostel, and then travelling by car all the way to Las Vegas.
I am currently trying to figure out the drive we will do every day and guess where we'll want to sleep, but it's proven to be a very difficult task.
So my question is, as we drive along the coast and we cross the state to Las Vegas, is it risky not to book any hotel/motel/hostel and just see as we…
