So posh it even has its own TV show (Bravo's Welcome to the Parker). This full-service resort boasts whimsical, postmodern 'happy chic' decor by Jonathan Adler - think needlepoint, suits of armour and Adler's own pottery. The hotel's 13 landscaped acres, including the slick and sassy Palm Springs Yacht Club spa, provide plenty of room for roaming or relaxing.
With 113 rooms the Parker is one of the largest properties in the city, yet it never feels crowded. Part of that is due to the spacious grounds, which include four pools, lawn bowling and croquet, hammocks, and fire pits for snuggling at nighttime. Look for bathroom goods from Hermes and Molton Brown to (thoughtfully) Blistex. The Palm Springs Yacht Club spa is a destination of its own, with a nautical themed motif and generous, fluffy robes. Also worth seeking out (even if you're not a guest) are the resort's restaurants, Norma's (with decadent breakfasts served all day - try the chocolate brioche French toast) and Mr. Parker's (for dinner - most nights - in a 1960's bachelor pad atmosphere).
