HI - Portland - Hawthorne
Lonely Planet review
This eco-friendly hostel has good vibes and a great Hawthorne location. The private rooms are good and dorms spacious; all share outside bathrooms. There are summertime open-mic nights in the grassy backyard, and bike rentals available. Very environmentally conscious; composts and recycles, uses rainwater to flush toilets, and has a nice eco-roof. Discounts to those bike touring.
