    Release your inner child and learn how to climb trees with this Eugene-based organization. Both day trips and overnight expeditions (that include spending the night up in a tree!) are available, and you won't need any climbing experience to partake – though being in good shape helps.

    E19th StHigh StNorth Bank Gloriously located on the banks of the mighty Willamette, the North Bank pub-restaurant has riverside patio tables. The other two locations lack water views but offer similar fare ('classic pub food with a Northwest kick' – pasta, salads, burgers and steaks).

    University of Oregon

    Established in 1872, the University of Oregon is the state's foremost institution of higher learning, with a focus on the arts, sciences and law. The campus is filled with historic ivy-covered buildings and includes a Pioneer Cemetery, with tombstones that give vivid insight into life and death in the early settlement. Campus tours are held in the summer.
