So many posts request the impossible - that a bunch of people who have never met you magically intuit how much you have to spend and what will make you happy on vacation, generally planning out your route for three months and helping you get discount flight reservations.
So, what can you do to get great travel advice?
1. Do your homework
The web is filled with basic information like how far it is from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, or how to…
I am looking into Travelling America roughly between Feb-June 2016 starting the West then moving over to the East, Looking for people to explore with USA with. Considering hiring Campervan or Car or just bagpacking it!

I'm trying to find a location within 4 hours of NYC where a group of 14 people can have a nice weekend of camping. Doesn't need to be the most perfect place ever, just one where we can feel like we're not slotted in next to large groups of people and can't be at one with the outdoors.
Friends have said things like "go to the Adirondacks!" or "Vermont is nice!" which is lovely, but lacks specifics. Do you know of any campgrounds where a group of 14 can go, set up tents, have a nice…

Next Friday I am hitting the road to move from NYC to the Bay Area. This will be my first long distance driving trip so I would love some pointers from people with experience. I will have a friend to help with driving and a cat. Due to the cat I can't make this a sight seeing trip. I will be driving on I-80 from NJ straight into CA but I would like to know what I can expect along this route. Is it an easy route, is it at all scenic, will I have lots of rest stops to choose from, how is the…
I'm posting this question on behalf of my mum. She is a South African citizen and has a ten year non immigrant visa to the USA. Whenever she enters she is given a six month visa stay. The travel agent messed up with her return date of her ticket. Her ticket is currently booked to leave USA on January 31 2016 but her visa ends a day before on January 30. If she where to go on a trip to Mexico from here and re-enters a week later will her visa renew from this new date of entry or will it…
