I was wondering if you rent a car in Canada and drive it across the border into the United States; what type of restrictions do rental car companies impose typically? Is there special insurance you need to get? I am a Canadian with a Canadian Driver's Licence.

The road trip I am planning would be mostly in the United States and I was also wondering if I'd be better to rent in Canada or drive across and pick up a car in the United States to rent?

Hey Everyone,

If any of you are planning to visit Chicago sometime soon, here was me and my friends trip! We stayed 4 days, 3 nights. I highly suggest buying the CityPass because it allows you access to 360Chicago, SkyDeck, Field Museum, Adler Planetarium, and Shedd Aquarium; which can get pretty pricey individually. We stayed in the Marriott Fairfield Inn off E Ontario St. The hotel is across the street from Northwestern Hospital and is walking distance to everywhere you need to go. I was able…
