From the bus terminal (34 Hamilton St), Trailways (518-427-7060) and Greyhound (518-434-8461) head to/from New York City ($42 one way, three hours). Amtrak stops out of New York City ($57 one way, 2½ hours), as do several major airlines flying into the Albany International Airport (737 Albany Shaker Rd; www.albanyairport.com) about 10 miles north from downtown.
