Earnest Sewn denim has become famous for its craftsmanship, and customers sign on to long waiting lists to order customized and tailored jeans. The atmospheric store is a fun place to browse, and you’ll find an odd mix of delicate jewelry, outerwear and pocketknives among the antique (still working) machinery. You can also check out their Lower East Side store, with a smaller selection of apparel (mostly denim).
