Lonely Planet review for Grimaldi's
Legendary pizza with perfect crust and spicy sauces, topped with bubbling cheeses of all types. If the 'no reservations' policy creates long lines, everybody stops complaining once the pizza's dished up.

The Holy Grail of New York pizza
strawberry731 recommends this,
Everyone is on the quest to find the best pizza in New York and Grimaldi's is the Holy Grail of New York pizza! Rain or shine, there will be a line outside of this eatery under the Brooklyn Bridge. The pizza is worth the wait. Once inside, they squeezed in as many tables as they could possibly fit, dining is cozy-get to know your neighbors. The pizza is thin crust, with perfectly spiced sauce and paired with just the right amount of cheese.

A slice of Brooklyn! Pizza - New York style...
jadll recommends this,
The wait is worth it. Grimaldi's makes quite simply the best pizza in the city. Keep it simple and order the classic cheese and tomato slice, you cannot go wrong. The restaurant is full of atmosphere (red and white chequered tablecloths, old school ovens, Italian men yelling orders) and is perfectly positioned for a sunset walk back over the Brooklyn Bridge after dinner. A classic New York experience.
