Sleek and sexy, Surya's cool interior gives way to a trellis-lined patio where you can sip chilled white wine or an excellent bar cocktail while waiting for a fiery vindaloo, flavored with spices from India's southwest coast, or a tender saag with fresh ginger. Meat lovers and vegetarians will be equally thrilled with the choices.

    Indian food that's not stuck in a rut.

    The menu at Surya includes the standards but it is much more than that. It's not often you find an Indian restaurant that respects the gastronomic diversity of the subcontinent and that ventures into newer flavors. Where else can you find killer spiced lamb chops or delectable curried grouper. The kitchen has had an off day or twp, but they aren't known for it. Overall the food is great. The setting is also colorful and clean, and how can you beat the patio on a warm night.
