Lonely Planet review for Artisanal

For those who live, love and dream fromage, Artisanal is a must-eat. More than 250 varieties of cheese, from stinky to sweet, are on the menu. Along with classic French mains like steak au poivre, you can sample four types of fondue (including chocolate) and gougères (little servings) of everything from Brie to Ossau-Iraty.

More cheese than a Meg Ryan movie!

    raphamatics recommends this,

We had a fromage à trois at this French style bistro which reeked of cheese. Not only can you dine on the cheese, you can dine with then cheese in a purpose-built cheese room. Expert advice is dispensed at the cheese counter with over 40 cheeses to sample and more than 200 selections on the menu.

If you love cheese, you will think you died and went to heaven. I went for lunch recently- great french onion soup, very cheesey but in a good way. I shared the classic swiss fondue, never had fondue before but I would certainly go back, great bread and great flavor. The service was very attentive, we first had a tight noisy table and they were able to move us to another more comfortable table and the waitress was very helpful and made good suggestions. I would certainly return - two thumbs up, way up !!!

my goodness. i really like cheese - i mean REALLY a lot - and this place was heavenly. the mixed cheese fondue was spectacular, and the mains (which were not made of cheese) were also great (although the introduction of non-cheese ingredients did confuse me at first). there's a cheese cave out back, and you can smell the cheesy goodness from the street.
