Lonely Planet review for ’Inoteca
Join the crowd waiting at the cramped bar (it’s worth it) at this airy, dark-wood-paneled corner haven to choose from tramezzini (small sandwiches on white or whole-wheat bread), panini (pressed sandwiches) and bruschetta options, all delicious and moderately priced. The truffled egg toast, a square of bread hollowed out in its center and filled with egg, truffles and fontina cheese, is a signature favorite. But you can’t go wrong, whether you choose the beet-orange-mint salad, vegetable lasagna built with layers of eggplant rather than pasta, or a plate of garlicky mussels. There’s also a list of 200 wines, 25 of them available by the glass.

Little Italy in the Lower East Side
oreol recommends this,
My friends and I stumbled onto this place when the thought of lining up for brunch for an hour and a half, seem a little crazy.
One of us was Vegan, the other Vegetarian and others were just whatever. Our waitress was so thorough in explaining everything on the menu (the entire menu was in Italian) and making sure our diets were catered to. She was friendly but not in your face with the "constant fill of water".
Food - what can I say, was just amazing! I would recommend the Noci bruschetta (its like peanut butter) which was to die for. We ordered extra.
Everything was great and very authentic Italian. Long wine and cheese list too!
