Slide into the glossy cream, brown and sexy red rooms offered by the East Houston Hotel and embrace the decadence. Rooms are smallish, but the chic decor, Fiji water and Bulgari toiletries more than compensate.
A new addition to the LES boutique craze, East Houston's chocolate brown lobby and vivid red chairs set a sexy tone from the get-go, and the romantic vibe only intensifies in the rooms, which are small but cozy and sensual. The deep, rich golds and creams on the walls, glass-tiled bathrooms, heavily-shaded windows and glossy furnishings make you feel light years away from busy Houston St (even though some traffic noise might occasionally seep in). Free breakfast and wi-fi come with the room. Definitely take advantage of the sunny rooftop deck and lounge area, which in mild weather is a great perch from which to watch the sunset over the Hudson River.
