Lonely Planet review
This old hotel was remade a few years back, complete with canopied pool deck, sexy rooftop bar and a dimly-lit lobby lounge studded with zebra-print settees. The 422 rooms come in various configurations, and feature brightly-hued walls with plush dark leather furnishings.
It’s a big hotel, so you’re not going to get personalized service, but the location is excellent and the brilliant red Empire Hotel sign on the roof makes the perfect backdrop for Instagram pictures.
