It’s hard to be too bad-ass in the Upper West, but this former crack den turned punk bar makes a wholesome attempt by supplying graffiti-covered bathrooms to go with its exposed-brick walls. It also, interestingly, features an array of cuckoo clocks. It’s popular with Columbia students and guests from nearby hostels for its can-of-beer-and-a-shot combo (only $7).
