Filling up the penthouse and 22,000-sq-ft roof of a former hotel, the 230 has a Studio 54–throwback lounge look inside – but who stays there? Outside, plants line the patio’s sprawl that looks north towards the Empire State Building. As a club it’s a bit off – drinks come in plastic cups – but views are superb and they hand out robes if it’s chilly outside.
