New York’s most active public boathouse offers free walk-up 20-minute kayaking sessions (including equipment) in a protected embayment in the Hudson River on weekends and some weekday evenings. For more activities – kayaking trips, stand-up paddle boarding and classes, check out www.hudsonriverpark.org for the four other kayaking locations on the Hudson River.
