Set in the former municipal asphalt plant, this super nonprofit fitness center on the Upper East Side is known for its excellent 50m Olympic-size pool (with an observation window for coaches to check technique). There’s also a smaller pool for classes. Some hours are for members only. Many programs cater to kids.
