The classic Circle Line – whose local 1970s TV-commercial song is now the stuff of kitschy nostalgia – guides you through all the big sights from the safe distance of a boat that circumnavigates the five boroughs. It’s got a bar on board and has a bit of a party reputation (especially its two-hour evening cruise); other options include a three-hour day trip and an abbreviated 75-minute journey.
