The City Park is the nation's fifth-largest urban park (bigger than Central Park in NYC) and New Orleans' prettiest green lung. It's ridiculously picturesque and a perfect expression of a local 'park, ' in the sense that it is an only slightly tamed expression of the Louisiana wetlands and forest that are the natural backdrop of the city.
