Ashé Cultural Arts Center information
An important anchor for the local African American community, Ashé (from a Yoruba word that could loosely be translated as ‘Amen’) regularly showcases performances, art and photography exhibitions, movie screenings and lectures with an African, African American or Caribbean focus, and beyond. Check the online calendar for upcoming events. The on-site Diaspora Boutique , which stocks clothing, earrings and crafts, is also worth a look.
