Lonely Planet review for Musicians' Village

Musicians' Village encompasses an 8-acre tract of some 81 houses, built primarily for musicians, a vital component of the city's cultural and economic landscape. While mainly intended for musicians, it is not exclusively inhabited by them - non-musicians live here as well. If you visit, please bear in mind this is a living neighborhood; folks can get understandably tetchy if you take pictures of them or their property without asking permission or even getting out of your car. The brightly painted houses lighten up the surrounding neighborhood like a spilled pack of Skittles.
