Lonely Planet review
Some people love this sort of place simply because the possibilities seem limitless. You never know what you'll find between the piles of old furniture stacked along the walls of this large, garage-like emporium of tantalizing junk. Perhaps you collect old photographic portraits from long defunct studios, the subjects looking dapper or frilly or severe in their Victorian finery.
You might find everything you need for that Tiki bar you're slapping together in the basement. Or maybe you're just after an Art Deco martini shaker. Or an old dented trumpet, or a Pewee Herman doll from the 1980s, or a heavy Army surplus coat, or some silverware that needs polishing, or a lady's hat from the 1920s. Remarkably, the entire assemblage is not just a heaping mess. Everything is lovingly contextualized to add interest, and examining the wares here is like a visit to a grab-bag museum.
